Role purpose

As Partnerships Account Manager Utilities you will deliver and support the development of our Utilities Partnership strategy to drive income, reach, impact and influence to support Scope’s Mission, Everyday Equality.

You will manage and grow game changing corporate partnerships from the Utilities sectors (energy and water). This will include managing a range of strategic projects and programmes, negotiating with senior internal and external stakeholders, and creating on going partnerships that drives mutual benefit for our partners and disabled people.

You will secure and manage a wide-ranging portfolio of utility partnerships and grow the Scope Utilities Membership (SUM). Your role will be to influence change, for better outcomes for disabled people, by co-developing partnership strategies and plans with companies in the utilities industry, ensuring clear growth trajectories and financial targets are met. You will lead internal project teams to deliver partnership programmes across fundraising, volunteering, pro bono, research and impact, services, marketing, and communications.

The role includes raising funds from the utilities to deliver Scope’s Disability Energy Support with Water Advice to directly support disabled people.

This role is within the Partnerships department, with responsibility for both new relationships and account management functions with Utility partners.

The successful candidate will work across the Partnership’s Team departments; Income and Influencing, achieving both aspects in your work.

This Role will include helping to develop the Partnership’s new product, ‘Scope for Business’, as well as working on developing and refining the Partnerships offer to achieve maximum income, reach, impact and influence for Scope.

Main responsibilities

  • Secure new utility partnerships and manage a portfolio of existing corporate utility partners, driving mutual benefit for the organisation and disabled people.
  • Provide outstanding relationship management with a continued focus on growth and development of Utilities partnership programmes.
  • Support the Partnerships & Relationship Lead to grow the Scope Utilities Membership (SUM) across the Utilities sectors.
  • Support the Partnerships & Relationship Lead to secure Utility funding to continue delivery of Disability Energy Support with water advice.
  • Work closely with internal teams to deliver partnership objectives. You will ensure cohesive content management, brief key stakeholders appropriately, drive development opportunities and monitor risk.
  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Scope’s services, fundraising and volunteering teams to drive opportunities to develop and engage partners.
  • Project manage working groups to ensure delivery of partnership objectives. This includes delivering against partnership goals and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Implement effective and efficient systems, processes and working groups to professionally manage the partnership to an exceptional standard.
  • Support in the set up and adoption of a new CRM system and ensure all processes are maintained in the interim.
  • Carry out due diligence on prospective partnership organisations.
  • Meet the agreed income and expenditure targets set annually.

Knowledge and experience

Essential

  • To implement effective and efficient systems, processes and working groups to professionally manage the partnership to an exceptional standard.
