About the Leeds hub

Accessibility features

Accessibility is at the core of the hub. It includes:

  • an automatic door at the entrance
  • a completely step-free space
  • a Changing Place Toilet with a shower
  • accessible toilets
  • accessible chairs and tables
  • a quiet room

The accessible toilets are near the office area.

We do not offer a play area for children.

Event area

A wide open-space area for all your events, including meet-ups, workshops and conferences.

Community lounge

A place to read, relax and connect with other like-minded people.

Interview rooms

2 meeting rooms where advisers can meet with customers.

The focus room

A silent and private room where you can sit, relax, take a break and decompress.

The meeting rooms

2 mergeable meeting rooms for all your in-person and hybrid meetings.

Toilets

The hub also have one shower and 3 toilets, including an ambulatory one.

The hub is located in a quiet passing area surrounded by restaurants and shops.

Additional information

There is no music or other sources of loud noises in the hub.

The lights are static, white, and non-adjustable, primarily in strip bulb form. There are no flashing lights.

There are no strong smells, as air flows constantly through the ventilation system.

The hub is air-conditioned. The temperature is regulated by Scope colleagues.

Pets are not permitted in the hub. Assistance animals are welcome.

In the community lounge, there are armchairs and coffee tables.

The event area has chairs without armrests.

Outdoor seating is available if you need a break for some fresh air.

There is no space to lay down at the hub. There is a small focus room where you can:

  • pray using the prayer mat
  • relax or decompress sitting on an armchair

There are 2 small rooms with glass walls where you can meet with our advisers. They can offer you water, tea or coffee during your meeting. Each room is a confidential space that can be closed off with curtains.

Visitors should respect other people in the hub. Please to help us creating a safe space by being considerate of everyone's different needs.

Available facilities

Laptops will be available to use at the hub. You can use them to:

  • complete a form online and then print it
  • apply for a job
  • review and print your CV

You can also use your own laptop, tablet or smartphone. You can connect to the hub’s Wi-Fi for free and use the plugs where available whilst you are visiting the hub.

In case of emergency

In case of an emergency at the hub, please evacuate using one of the 2 emergency doors on either side of the building. A Scope colleague will guide you to the designated meeting point, which is at the bronze sculpture in front of the hub.
