For the entire month of February, to raise money for Scope, he has decided to give up one of his most beloved snacks, the Solero. The exotic, fruity lollies are his perfect treat and he’s eaten one daily for a decade or more.
Richard is asking his fans to donate £23.33, the monthly amount he would usually spend on Soleros. He’s set an extremely ambitious target of raising £500,000.
He says: “Can I raise half a million pounds doing this? Some would say not, but I would say absolutely definitely.”
Richard has been a long-time supporter and fundraiser for Scope. He has run the London Marathon for Scope and hosted our comedy showcase Joke for Scope.
Scope is here to create an equal future with disabled people. Last year, over 4 million disabled people were supported through our services, our online advice and online community forum.
It costs nearly £1 a minute to answer a call to Scope’s helpline. An average call lasts 22 minutes. Your Nolero donation could provide someone with essential information and support.
